Ron DiDonna, a New York leader in the drive to make Ross Perot president, loaded his car this week with 2,500 campaign buttons and hit the road for an upstate campaign swing.
"Three out of four people see the button, come up to me and ask where they can get one," he said on his return to Schenectady after three days on the road.
One man called DiDonna's real estate office, which serves as a temporary headquarters, pleading to talk to the candidate himself. "He said he had a hovercraft he would get plastered with bumper stickers and ride around the Statue of Liberty," DiDonna said.
